Finishing touches!

The new video for TENDER FOREVER is almost done. The video is a collaboration between multiple people. It started with a bangsandblurry shoot on top of the Wieden+Kennedy deck. The footage (one take) was sent to an artist (Jordan Gushwa) attending the art school Cranbrook (he also graduated from Waldport High School with me). Jordan was instructed to animate over the footage. That he did. But he didn’t use a computer or pen and markers. He got two of his fellow students to intrepretive dance to the song all while the video we had already shot was projected over them. Amazing things happened where you would see one dancer projected over an another dancer – or a face on someone’s belly. The footage was then sent back to me…I cut them together back and forth to the music – at times to almost seizure inducing level…and now Briana and I are drawing over top the video with red fucking sharpies.
In case you didn’t click on Jordan’s name above, check out these sweet earrings he recently designed:

February 15, 2008 at 11:10 am | In News | Leave a CommentThis video was posted to YouTube last month.Only a few days after the video was on the internet, a t-shirt popped up:

To be a good entrepreneur, you must take advantage of situations QUICKLY. I learned this when the New Carissa crashed onto the shores of Waldport, Oregon – my hometown. At the time I was a high school senior. I found out in the morning – skipped my first class, met up with a local silk screener, and two hours later, I was selling humorous New Carissa tshirts on the streets with a buddy. Three days later we had made $2,000.
T-shirt above available here.

Tatum Shaw shot the Low Brow for the bangsandblurry First Thursday art opening postcard.
Then Tony Frusciante from the Wieden+Kennedy studio tweaked the image to say “LOWE BROW.” Since we didn’t have room on the postcard to properly credit these boys, I’d thought I’d do this post to spread the love.
You can see more of Tatum’s photos here.
Or if you are in London you should go and try to find Tony.
