After a failed attempt to steal 6.18.08 entirely for myself (my co-worker shares the same birthday with me, and wasn’t super excited about the ‘birthday war’ cake eating contest that I was having Mary set up…something about crowds and the fact that the cake contest was going to be viewed by most of Wieden+Kennedy), we met up at Laurelhurst park for a game of Capture the Flag. It was a cowboys and indians theme.
The Hornbeckers went all out:
I was a member of the cowboys who were overtaken by the indians as you’ll see at the end of the YouTube (hang tight it will appear below in a sec):
Later in the night we had drinks at Alto followed by a Dr. Awesome and J.Lowe Bon Jovi duet.

I got really excited because I thought she was playing in town this Saturday night at Holocene.
I came to find out that she played at Holocene a year ago, Saturday. That’s how ahead of the curve those guys are there.
