We shot, edited and color corrected a five minute film over the weekend that will debut on May 21st in New York. The show is titled “This Land is Our Land” and is being put on by PICA at the Ace Hotel. Our film is called “The Ride.” Special thanks to our friends Ray Gordon, Ruth Radelet, Elisa Silva, Chris Hutchinson, and Anthony Gainer for donating their weekends to help the cause.

NETFLIX

I was talking to a co-worker today about Netflix.
She mentioned that her boyfriend is constantly cueing up titles by Ingmar Bergman etc. and how they generally don’t end up getting watched – as it’s much easier to wind down to a chick flick or a comedy.
This made me realize something - for some people your netflix cue is not what you WANT to watch, it’s what you ASPIRE to watch.

A quick glance through my cue reveals titles by Akira Kurosawa, Orson Welles, Mike Leigh, documentaries about the world running out of oil, water, etc. but what’s at the top of my cue? A couple DVDs of The Simpsons, and Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist.
Busted.
