I am quitting Lars Von Trier

After reading some descriptions about some of the things in his new movie Antichrist, I’ve decided to no longer think of LVT as an auteur to look up to, but simply a provocateur with a George Lucas-sized ego.

Yep. That sounds like Lars.
Mr. Von Trier,
I learned a lot from The Five Obstructions, I found it brilliant when you set Dogville on a soundstage and didn’t try to hide that, I loved the scenic/musical interludes in Breaking the Waves and the performance you got out of Emily Watson. But when you decide to make your own Hostel horror movie, you’ve stopped exciting me.

THE RIDE played well at PICA’s retrospective at the Ace.
We also were in DC for a few days where I managed to take in The Prodigy:

(that was an interesting show to say the least, I highly reccomend it, although when the MC shouted ‘Where are my voodoo people at?!!’ I got a little concerned)
My dad’s talk at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum went over well, and he did a great job. Now it’s back to BlueToothin’ for him:

(the man gets a lot done for the Fish and Wildlife Service)
Now it’s time for me to get some stuff done….I’ll be posting on this blog when I can…

Having my iphone anywhere close to my computer speakers causes loud feedback. Anyone with a cell phone utilizing GSM technology, has probably experienced this.
When editing video with audio, a lot of times I have to turn my cell phone off. Unfortunately then I miss important text messages, and/or phone calls.
I think it would be great if someone developed some software, that would essentially allow me to turn off my cell phone at work…but be sent an email anytime a text message or phone call came in, that I could respond to on my computer.
Does this exist yet?
