I’m glad this project came to be. Everyone put a lot of faith in one another and we built this in about 6 weeks. If you want to follow our company’s CTO David Evans, he has a tumblr he started just for this trip. He is one of several people traveling with, cleaning, and maintaining the chalkbot. Two companies worked on this, Standard Robot and Deeplocal, both based in Pittsburgh as a project for the creative people at ad agency WK.

I cancelled my cable a couple of years ago and have never missed it. What is really cool, is that the internet has reconnected me to much of my tv habit. I loved to watch the Daily Show, and if I am willing to wait a day, I still can via the internet.

I am advocating (messaging representatives, converting people using common sense, and totally making my blog a boring blog) single payer insurance. After a lot of research it is the only sensible way to go. Obama’s plan is doomed to fail, not right away but given time. The simple explanation is that healthy people will end up on private insurance, sick people will end up on public insurance, the public insurance option will eventually become unstable as not enough healthy people will be paying in to balance out what has to be paid out.
